Desert Rocks Publishing was founded in 2016 by indie author and publishing consultant B. Bernard Ferguson. One of the first things you will notice about the books in our catalog is that, by and large, they are underpinned using emotional intelligence as a vehicle by which engagements between everyday people are assessed.

About B. Bernard Ferguson
B. Bernard Ferguson is a retired federal agent. He is a Southern California native and currently lives with his wife Diane in Las Vegas, Nevada. He self-published his first book, “Where’s the EQ?: Race and Policing Up-Close,” in 2016, following a successful twenty-one-year career in federal law enforcement.
After earning his Ph.D., he used both his law enforcement experience and doctoral research to explore some of the most controversial police shootings of our time. Drawing from his academic studies where his research centered on emotional intelligence within policing, Bernard’s writing often reflects his keen interest in human thought processes.
